Accreditation & Recognitions
Wytheville Community College is approved by the State Board for Community Colleges and by the Virginia Community College System. The associate degree curricula of the college have also been approved by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
Wytheville Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, Georgia 30033-4097; Telephone number 404-679-4500) to award the associate degree. The Nursing Program has been granted approval by the Virginia State Board of Nursing and accreditation by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, 61 Broadway, 33rd Floor, New York, NY; (212) 363-5555. The Medical Laboratory Technology Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 5600 N. River Rd., Suite 720, Rosemont, Illinois 60018-5119; (773) 714-8880.
The Dental Hygiene program is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association (ADA), 211 East Chicago Ave., Chicago, Illinois 60611-2678; (312) 440-2500.
